The BX had been presented 3 years earlier to replace the GSA. In order to empty its stocks, Citroen offered this last limited edition, the “Chic”, from July 1984 to June 1985.
The base car is a GSA Special with 1,300 cc engine and 5 speed gearbox. 1200 examples were produced, each delivered in pearl grey, accessorized with:
- Bronze tinted windows.
- alloy wheels.
- rear spoiler from the GSA X1.
- front grille from the GSA X3
- Specific changes were the tartan upholstery, the red stripes along the bodywork, the 3 ‘Chic’ logos and the black faded graphic on the rear quarter window.
The GSA is removed from the European catalogue in July 1986.
Price at the time: 54,500 Francs.
HISTORY:
This car was bought new by a retired farmer. Put away in a barn after 10 years of use, it was taken on by his neighbour. This person thought that it would be easier to sell if the front wings were repainted. The car loses its original stickers.
In front of the car, I hesitated a long time before deciding to buy. But the decision was taken due to the rarity of this limited edition and the availability of replacement stickers.
